Home Revamp (Beginners to Intermediate)

Change your home in a month! A learn-to-sew course that teaches all the basics of sewing for your home. This course includes:

- Layout and cutting fabric the right way

- Developing good machine sewing skills and working habits

- Professional seam finishing, pressing and hemming techniques

- Making one-step buttonholes

Materials: We recommend you bring your own fabrics as you may prefer using designs to suit your home or you can also use recycled fabrics, clothes or other materials. We can also supply fabrics, buttons & trims at a very reasonable price. In preparation for the course we will send you an email with the required fabrics for each project.

All other materials will be provided.

Project 1: Cushion

One of my favourite items! Sew the kind of high-end cushions you see at your dream shop. You will pick up all the skills you need for making at least one cushion cover from start to finish and be able to make more at home.

Skill level: none required, you can use this course in preparation for the rest of the projects.

Price - £40 (3 hours)

Project 2: Curtain

Stitching a small curtain is the perfect start to the hemming-intensive skills that you will need for the rest of the course. The best part? although this will be a small curtain, you can simply use your new skills to scale up this version to custom fit ANY window.

Skill level: beginner sewing machine experience required. If you have never worked on a sewing machine, then you will need to take the Basic Sewing course before starting this project.

Materials: main fabric not included, you can purchase some fabric here or you can bring your own. The lining and the pencil pleat will be provided.

Price - £50 (3 hours)

Project 3: Roman Blind

By using a roman blind kit you will be able to make the perfect blind to suit your window. You can start thinking which window you want to dress!. The blind kit will be provided, we will try to accomodate your window sizes so you can take away and install. * Extra charges may apply depending on sizes.

Skill level: beginner sewing machine experience required. If you have never worked on a sewing machine, then you will need to take the Basic Sewing course before starting this project. We also recommend that you have completed one of the projects listed above.

Price - £80 (2 sessions x 3 hours, includes the roman blind kit)
